My name is Michelle Deveaux I've been following the Loc God Salon on Instagram for almost 3 years and today Tuesday February 17, 2026 was the first day I went to the salon in Harlem, and I was not disappointed, the receptionist at the front desk who's name is Ramona was very welcoming and helpful. The staff was friendly it was a very peaceful atmosphere, I also met the manager who's name is Leslie she was very friendly as well, the salon was also very clean that's a plus for me. My loctician Yacine did an excellent job on my locs my parts look nice and fresh, my hair looks beautiful I got alot of compliments. I will be coming to the Loc God on a regular basis every month or two. I left feeling really happy. Thank you. 💖

3rd time’s the charm! This was the third loc salon I’ve tried, and I’m so glad I finally found one I really love. I went to The Loc God Salon in Edgewater and had a great experience from start to finish. My hairstylist, Diamond, did an amazing job on my hair. She was gentle, professional, and clearly knows what she’s doing when it comes to loc care. My hair came out looking so neat and refreshed. She even brought me a mimosa, which was such a nice touch and made the appointment feel extra relaxing. The whole environment was welcoming and comfortable. The price was $130, which I thought was really reasonable for the quality of service. It was also my birthday, so it felt like the perfect little treat for myself. Overall, I’m really happy with how everything turned out and I’ll definitely be coming back. Highly recommend!💜🧚🏿

I’ve been, going here since I started my local October 2 of last year. I actually looked them up prior to starting my locs, and I went multiple times to ask questions, in which they answered to the best of their abilities. Which made me want to solely go to the for my locs. Since the beginning I can say every single time that I’ve ever gotten my hair done. The service was always nice, everybody there is kind, atmosphere is amazing. It smells wonderful in there every single time I went there. I always leave with my hair either styled or just re-twisted. I feel great after. They’re considerate, very kind, they check on you periodically even if they have another client whose head they’re doing so that’s great considering the fact that sometimes you know you might be a little scared to speak up or call for them. I usually color my hair before I get it re-twisted. When I got my starter locks, my hair was a blackish green, as well as my first re-twist then my second re-twist was Red and my third one was brownish. In my last one is more so my hair without any color with the blonde tips. Not gon lie I be feeling myself when my hair is done. I was apologizing each and every time because of the color does stain their hands they were very understanding and kept telling me it’s OK. I would not change where I get my locs done, even if I move I will take a trip to go to The Loc God Salon. I can say the people that I’ve watched come get their hair done have been coming there longer than me and they’re always so excited and it feels as if you’re coming to not only like something familiar but something that feels at home
